When We Speak

In July, The Knights & Orchids Society lifted our voices in harmony, poetry, and purpose — centering the powerful and complex stories of Black queer and trans folks in the South. Through open mic nights and and virtual writing spaces rooted in joy and justice, we carved out space to speak the unspeakable and imagine what’s possible.

Every poem spoken, every story shared — these are the threads that weave our movement together. In community, we build power. In using our voices, we claim our future. And in joy, we remind each other that none of us are free until all of us are free.
