SCHOOLIN’ LIFE:
Resources for the Journey

An initiative of the TKO Youth Ambassadors, Schoolin’ Life: Resources for the Journey is a new central online space for resources and tips for every part of your journey. Through Zoom sessions* on the third Thursday each month, we’re also offering a space for open conversation without judgment and community care that respects who you are.

Folllow @TKO_youthambassadors and stay tuned to this page for updates, links, videos and how-to guides that are geared toward students. While the program centers Black trans and queer college students by highlighting their common experiences, it can be helpful for TLGB+ folks in other stages of learning and self-discovery.

Schoolin’ Life

This resource guide was developed as part of the Schoolin' Life: Resources for the Journey initiative by The Knights & Orchids Society and TKO Youth Ambassadors. It is designed for Black LGBTQ+ youth in Alabama and the people who support them.

Resources listed here are not endorsements of every service an organization provides.

If you need help navigating any of these resources, TKO is here to support you.

TKO Society thanks Caleb Gumbs, Ph.D, who compiled this guide as part of his doctoral study at the University of Illinois Chicago.
