Seen, Heard, & Celebrated:
Honoring Our Visibility & Our Voices
March reminds us that being seen and heard is powerful, but being supported, safe, and celebrated is what truly moves us forward.
Our DIVA 2 DIVA makeup workshop allowed participants to see themselves; and at the Alabama State University Miss Sophomore’s Check-In Academic and Wellness Fair, we reminded students that we see them, too.
We made our voices heard, from the return of our lunchtime series, Chat + Chew, to showing up at the No Kings Rally, linking our people to resources, resistance, and each other.
And we celebrate, especially this Trans Day of Visibility, honoring the fullness of our lives while holding close the memory of our beloved Kaitoria “Kai” Bankz on the first year since she was taken from us. We carry her with us in the work and in our hearts.
